In this batch of three photos, we finally see some of the Bong children. The first photo shows a group picture taken at the Bong family farm. My gg-grandparents Anne and Harald are on the left. With them are three of their eight children. Ole and Helma are standing, while Gina is sitting. The second photo shows Gina in bed at the home she shared with her brother Ole and sister Helma (none of them ever married) which was located in Braham Minnesota. The third photo was taken in sometime in the 1960's and shows the same corner of the house that the second photo showed. This time we have more of the Bong sisters. From the left: Adelia, Helma, my g-gm Gunhild [aka Nellie] and Gina. From what my grandmother told me, Gina was injured by a chiropractor and was not able to walk. She was injured when she was quite young (I'm guessing around 20-25 years old). Given that she was born in 1883 and died in 1969, that's a loooong time to lay in bed! I remember visiting Helma and Gina when I was younger, and walking into their living room where Gina's bed was located was enough to give a young child the willies.
